We would like to extend a warm return welcome and introduce you to Captain Manny Diaz Gaedechens, our new captain on the Aqua Cat
Captain Manny will be leading the team making sure you have a great experience while onboard our floating dive resort.
Captain Manny is originally from Chile and has been in the professional marine industry for the past 25 years. He began his career as a commercial diver and transitioned to the recreational diving industry as a dive instructor in the Caribbean, Red and Mediterranean Seas, and the Atlantic. Manny first joined us on board the Aqua Cat as dive instructor in the early 2000’s and later on moved to the yachting sector where he developed his career to become a captain. Manny has sailed the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Baltic and Persian Gulf and has over 10 Atlantic crossings under his belt. He re-joined the All Star Liveaboard fleet to captain Cat Ppalu for a year and has returned to Aqua Cat.
Capt. Manny holds an MCA Master 3000gt Captain License, a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer Instructor, and Chilean Navy Commercial Diver. He speaks Spanish, English and Italian too! Captain Manny loves diving, free diving, horseback riding and a good history book. Last but not least–he loves a good potato salad, at which he has become quite the gourmet.
