The Aqua Cat was specifically designed with scuba divers and adventure travelers in mind.

  • 11 large main deck cabins with king, queen and over-sized twin beds and private baths.

CAPTAIN

Jerome hails from the Central American/Caribbean country of Belize, more specifically from a little fishing village called Hopkins. Growing up by the sea nurtured his love for nature and for all things marine. In his early twenties he started his career in scuba diving and boating, working his way up to the yachting industry. He’s traveled to several countries of the world and enjoys working outdoors and adventures with his family, as well as his passion for sailing. Jerome’s first language is Garífuna, learning English as his second and Spanish as his third. He joins the Aqua Cat team as a first mate and looks forward to adding fabulous guests experiences to his life’s stories.

                                                      CAPTAIN

James Miller was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, in the town infamously known for inventing the Hawaiian pizza. Now the mate aboard Aquacat, James began his boating career as a dive master on Blackbeard’s cruises. When not at sea he enjoys making music and taking courses to further his knowledge in the maritime industry.

James’ favourite sea creature is the oceanic white tip shark, because while ferocious, they look kind of silly.

Lauro joins us freom Queretaro, Mexico where he completed culinary school prior to traveling extensively thru Mexico, South American and the North Americas. He claims to be a nerdy guy who likes to play games and work puzzles with numbers that make you think. His favorite good is a good taco and mole sauce which you may see on board!

      ENGINEER AND DIVE INSTRUCTOR

Jorge is from the beautiful city of Buenos Aires Argentina. Growing up he always had a love for the ocean and helping his friends work on their cars and motorcycles. He went to university for an electrical engineering degree. He then got into scuba diving and found that he loved showing people all that underwater word had to offer as an instructor. Jorge’s favorite ocean animals are stingrays and sharks. When he is not fixing on something or underwater, he loves to dance, snowboard and go climbing.

STEVEN

                       DIVE INSTRUCTOR

On his ID, you will find the name Johan Steven Buchner, but everyone knows him as Stevie! Growing up next to the wild coast of South Africa, he fell in love with the ocean, mostly through his passion for surfing. He decided to chase the thrill that the ocean provided and became an instructor and skipper before working on the World Renowned Sardine Run. So, being from some of the sharkiest waters in the world, his favorite marine animal is the Great White Shark because of the numerous encounters he had with them. The Cayman Islands became his home for 2 years after that and he fell in love with the Caribbean waters. One of the biggest pleasures in his life is taking people to explore the underwater world and seeing how it can change people’s lives. His other passions include photography, camping, and being South African…Rugby!

Will

                             ENGINEER

Will was born and raised on the sunny British Island of Jersey. Being surrounded by water led to his love of the sea. He has a HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Teesside University, England. Will has worked in Engineering all of his working life, a passion which also spilled over into his hobbies, building and racing rally cars and motorcycles! When not getting his hands dirty, scuba diving is his other passion, Will is an instructor and also enjoys technical diving, exploring engine rooms of shipwrecks is his favourite! His favourite animal to see underwater is the Cuttlefish because of their mesmerising colour displays and often timid nature.

Will also loves to travel and learn new languages, he is currently learning Portuguese and Spanish with the goal to become fluent and in the past has studied French and even Indonesian

Alicia is 29 years old from Mexico, she likes to be always on the move , chasing adventure and spreading warmth wherever she goes. Her love for traveling and exploring the world became a full time job, embracing different cultures with open arms. Meeting people is her greatest joy, as she believes that every encounter is a chance to learn, grow, and share laughter. She effortlessly turn strangers into friends and transforms any place into a home away from home, Going above and beyond to help guests create unforgettable memories and endless smiles !

Karlos is a chef passionate about cooking, a lover of extroverted activities, unusual experiences, and mixed martial arts. Despite these adrenaline-fueled passions, Karlos greatly enjoys quiet time. Playing classical piano is one of his greatest joys, as is listening to great artists like Nils Frahm. Whether it’s an adventurous, energetic trip or something quiet to enjoy the peace and quiet, he’s an always “Im in!”.

Molly joins us from the UK, after spending some time in the yachting industry she decided that liveaboard life is where it is at. She has a passion for fish behaviour especially the mating habits of crabs or any mating habit really. When not onboard the aquacat she likes to freedive, travel and hitchhike on sailing vessels. She has been exploring the underwater world for 10 years and looks forward to exploring with you.

Originally from Los Cabos, Dahiana grew up with the ocean as her backyard, so ending up in yachting was pretty inevitable. She started out on sailboats, fell in love with life at sea, and decided to turn sunsets, salt air, and great service into a career. Dahiana genuinely enjoys meeting new people, creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere on board, and making sure guests feel right at home—preferably with a perfectly made cocktail and zero worries.

Maelan

                      DIVE INSTRUCTOR

Maelan, better known as Blakey (his surname), is a dive instructor from Hertfordshire, England, who loves sharing the ocean with guests. His hobbies include watching Arsenal Football Club, hiking, playing pool and traveling, with past trips and work taking him to the Cayman Islands and Southeast Asia. His favourite marine creature is the juvenile spotted drum fish, which caught his eye on an early dive and has been a favourite ever since – so much so that he has a tattoo of one!

Amy

                      DIVE INSTRUCTOR

Amy grew up in the UK but joins us from the United States, where she has lived for over a decade. Before immersing herself in the world of scuba diving, Amy worked as a physiotherapist, gaining valuable expertise in anatomy, injury prevention, and rehabilitation—knowledge she now brings to her diving practice.

Amy’s passion for diving began with a transformative “zero to hero” experience in Indonesia, where she started her Divemaster training without any prior certification. It didn’t take long for Amy to realise that she had found her true calling in the ocean, and she soon transitioned to a full-time career as a diving instructor.

Having dived in some of the world’s most beautiful and diverse locations, Amy now shares her love of the underwater world with divers of all levels, ensuring each dive is safe, enjoyable, and hopefully sharky!

Joaquin

                     DIVE INSTRUCTOR

Joaquin, known as “Joaco” grew up in Bogotá among the mountains of the Colombian Andes, yet his bond with the ocean began in early childhood. He started diving as a teenager in the Rosario Islands of Cartagena, a passion that led him to become a marine biologist dedicated to the conservation and restoration of coral reefs and mangrove ecosystems. After years working as a scientific researcher, he followed his calling back to the water and became a dive instructor, combining academic knowledge with seamless professionalism. His journey has taken him to Thailand, the Maldives, and Greece, where he has refined a calm, attentive approach focused on safety, comfort, and truly memorable underwater experiences. His favorite marine creature is the octopus, admired for its intelligence and remarkable adaptability. When not underwater, he enjoys surfing, cycling, and cooking, a talent that often surprises those who taste his creations.

Emilio

                              ENGINEER

Emilio grew up in Veracruz, Mexico, surrounded by mountains, jungle, rivers, waterfalls, the ocean, a diversity of flora and fauna and a tropical weather. His childhood was full of adventures. His grandparents showed him incredible places and also stilled in him the value of work. Thanks to this, he studied naval mechanical engineering and thus enjoyed the sea while working. When Emilio is rests, he likes to play soccer and box and spend time with friends. He likes manta rays because they flow freely and adapt to their surroundings. The phrase “I can’t” is not in his vocabulary.

                                             DIVE INSTRUCTOR

Claire, affectionately known as “Claire Bear,” hails from Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada. A graduate of Ryerson University in Toronto, she now works as a Divemaster, combining her love for the ocean with her adventurous spirit. Claire speaks English and has traveled extensively across the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Australia, always seeking out new underwater experiences. When she’s not diving, she enjoys yoga, wakeboarding and snowboarding, and spending time with animals of all kinds. Her favourite ocean animal is the manta ray, which she admires for its graceful and calming presence underwater. Something most people wouldn’t guess about Claire is that she has a collection of hidden talents disguised as party tricks—including the ability to hold a headstand for over 10 minutes.
